THE TEAM

I hadn’t always been into exercise. During my late teenage years and early twenties I was at my lowest point in relation to my mind and body. But developing a more active lifestyle and an awareness of my health helped me to manage my stress. And today being active gives me a sense of purpose, as well as clear, attainable goals.
I love inspiring, motivating and encouraging others to realise what they are capable of. Whether that’s measured by strength, speed or simply feeling like they can take on the day. Developing programmes on an individual basis, whether you're a total beginner or like to go 'beast mode' every now and then, is what I love most. I am all about people connecting, so finding strength in working together is my number one.

Hello! I'm a self-employed PT and group exercise instructor, living and working in Nottingham.
I can often be found in the gym lifting heavy things, on the road marathon training, or at a local coffee shop fuelling myself with a cup of caffeine!
I believe that the mind is often the most powerful tool when it comes to training; and my outlook is all about balance, healthiness, and building confidence in your body through movement.
My classes are full to the brim of Ibiza tunes; both old and new, so come and join me for both a workout challenge and a party! I can’t wait to work with you guys - come and say hi when you see me in the barn!

I set up Onward Training to help people
build strength, move better and learn skills they never thought possible. Bringing an extensive background in coaching and, most importantly, a passion for helping people, we will work together to achieve your goals.
Whilst not an exhaustive list, to date I’ve helped people to reach the highest levels of functional fitness performance, achieve their first (and 10th!) pull up, learn how to lift weights; including Olympic weightlifting, compete in marathons, Hyrox and other endurance events and gain more confidence in the gym. My fitness journey began at 13 when I laced up my gloves and stepped into the world of boxing. From that moment, I was hooked and went on to compete in various disciplines: K1, MMA, Muay Thai, and traditional boxing. These experiences taught me the importance of discipline, hard work and pushing my limits to achieve success.
At 18, I joined the Royal Marines and proudly served for 12 years. Here I found a passion for weightlifting and endurance training. I later joined the Fire Service. My time in the Marines and Fire Service reinforced my values of physical and mental strength; cementing my commitment to a healthy lifestyle. My journey aligns perfectly with FORTIS' mission and I can't wait to help you all reach your fitness goals. Together, let's push our collective boundaries.

I’ve been in the health and fitness industry for over a decade now; building my coaching experience in competitive gymnastics and, for the past six years, in strength and conditioning. I’ve guided and coached a hugely diverse range of clients, in both individual and class settings, to becoming the fittest and healthiest versions of themselves.
Beyond my coaching, I am a proudly accomplished CrossFit athlete. I’ve qualified and competed at a number of competitions, including the CrossFit European Championships and Arnold Fitness Games.
I am so excited to meet and work with the FORITS community and hopefully use my previous experience to take members
to the next level of fitness.

My introduction to gym based fitness wasn’t actually a very welcomed one, initially! As with any athlete and individual, being hit with a potentially career ending injury was pretty hard hitting and, subsequently, I found myself lost and in a very poor headspace. Reluctantly, I swapped the dance studio for the gym floor to trial some rehabilitation. A 4kg medicine ball felt like a 100kg boulder and my motivation wasn’t there; but persevering was the best thing I ever did for my body and mind, and as I began to lift weights, the weights started to lift me!
I too walked solo through the barn shutters of FORTIS at the beginning of 2023 as a new member. I was welcomed in with open arms and became part of the most uniquely supportive and uplifting community of coaches and members.

Using a scientific, evidence based approach to nutrition, we'll

We believe that it is our jobs to support our clients’ and
members' mental well-being as well as their physical. We are
all about the 'weekly wins' continually hit along the way to
longer term goals, and pride ourselves in celebrating the daily
successes of the FORTIS squad. Outside of our busy timetable,
we also organise talk nights, wellness events and local walks to
bring people together and get people talking.

are long gone. Equally, lifting weights won't make women
